These are not Hayward brand but when I was comparing prices the local pool store said this brand was all they use because they are the best ones. They fit fine. It's hard to compare to the originals because mine were 7 years old and not in very good shape. After putting them in the pump runs great and the pressure is back down to normal. After a few hours of filtering the pool looks great. Some advice on install. I've disassembled my filter before and I still forgot a few points. First, there is only one small grid. All the others are the same size. The manifold on the top should say were the small one goes. Take notice of where the baseplate is positioned. The gap in the baseplate lines up with the manifold drop tube on the top. Just take a look before you take it apart so you can see how the top and bottom line up. Also note how the grids sit in the baseplate and how they line up with the little tabs. This is very important, assemble the grids upside down. That means put the manifold on a flat soft surface upside down and put the grids on it first then drop the baseplate straight down on top. You will never get the manifold on right side up.It's a good idea to replace the o-ring at the manifold if you haven't done that in a while and I also ordered a new nut that holds the manifold to the baseplate rod. Those corrode and should be replaced, especially in a salt pool. Overall pretty easy. Just take your time and look before you leap!
