I had attempted to use another brand available on Amazon and found that the other brand was almost all sand. The BioOrganics had no sand or other fillers.I had just cored and reseeded my yard a few weeks ago. The new seed was just starting to sprout so new seed roots were exposed on the surface and the core holes gave access to the established grass. I attempted to spray the other brand in my 32 gal tow sprayer and found it all settled out and formed a layer of sand on the bottom of the sprayer, clogging the uptake tube. Totally unusable and the most expensive small bag of sand I had ever bought.I purchased this product, the BioOrganics Micronized (10lb) and used it in the exact same sprayer. I am not sure if this is how they intended it to be applied but it worked perfectly. The ultra fine powder dissolved completely and did not clog or restrict the sprayer. It appeared to stay in suspension and I found no remaining residue or grit left behind when I had finished. 100% of the product made it completely through the sprayer and onto the lawn. I picked a cloudy day to protect it from the sun and there is rain forecast to begin in about an hour to wash it in to the cores and to where the new seed settled.I expect that the 10LB was not as much as they would recommend for the 2 acres I covered, but I am hoping that with the even coverage that the Micronized powder allowed and the optimal conditions of fresh seed, cored lawn and following rain I will have decent results.
