I ordered the medium size one. I put a dumbek inside and a riq on top of it. They fit together very well. I will not go for a smaller bag because the small end is quite small and just fit the small end of the dumbek. If I use their smaller size bag, the dumbek may not reach all the way to the bottom to leave wasted empty space, and not stand as stable on the floor. So even if you only want to carry the dumbek inside and don't want the extra height to put anything else, I would still recommend the medium size. You can put a jacket inside with the extra height. Bag is well made. good padding all around. good rippers. pockets outside are useful for little things, ie. water bottles, small instruments, ... shoulder straps and handle are very strong.
