My grandson is 11 years old 5'2". 3 months ago he started taking taekwondo and the bag stays in suctioned place without adding water ir sand.Great productThis thing works great. Is it better than a hanging bag? No. Is it a heck of a lot easier to install? Yes.- Things that surprised me were the build quality, and the report sensation. The leather is on par with about anything else I have seen, though I'm not sure about the stitching at the top. (It's one of those COULD be a problems, but absolutely isn't right now). I love the sensation that you get when you hit a heavy bag with your fist and it resists that force to push back against you. I didn't think this was going to have that, but it does.- The springs are primarily there for stability purposes, and they do their job. I only put 100 lbs of sand into the base, and it took a heck of a front kick for me to knock that thing over. I want to say the base is built for 200 lbs of sand, but I think 150 lbs will be sufficient. I usually can knock over those base standing punching bags (w/o the springs) pretty easily, which is why I was hesitant to get one of these things, but initial testing has been really good.-The suction cups on the base I think are more of a gimmick, there to reassure people who are concerned about the level of stability. I don't think they do a whole lot of anything. The spring neck does a heck of a lot more to dissipate the force going down to the base. Largely irrelevant though because it does appear to be a stable platform. All in all I am quite happy with it. Is it perfect? No. But perfect has a price, and this is well below it.I managed to fit three 50 lb bags of play sand into the base, which was sort of a pain due to the small hole. I used a large funnel and a garden trowel to fill the base and since the sand had moisture, it made it more difficult to fill. I also added a few capfuls of bleach to prevent any mold or bad smells. Also, this product is advertised as a quiet bag. After about 2 minutes of punching the bag, my neighbor called and asked if that was me banging on the wall (I live in a condo). Finally, after setting up this bag, I really like it. I'm not a boxer and this is the first bag I've ever owned so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really like it for exercise and relieving stress. We'll see how long it lasts. I'm 6', 220 lbs and the bag rocks some while hitting it but it gives me some timing and aiming challenges. I'm also using this on carpet so I think on a smooth surface and utilizing the suction cups would stabilize it even more.Do not attach easily in rough superficiesThe punching bag is what I expected. Sturdy and durable enough for a kid through teen to practice. It's a good product. The really noteworthy part is how great at communication and working out problems the customer service is. My order was mis-delivered by the shipping companies, and Kari worked with me to get a replacement shipped. Once we figured out the problem and I decided what to take a refund or replacement, the bar and bag arrived within a couple days. During this crazy shipping time of year, it wasn't the fault of the company that my order didn't arrive, but how they handled that was to-notch.For the price the punching bag is great! Easy to set up. The only pain is filling it with sand. I used almost 3 50lb bags. Very sturdy and can take a punch. Love the springs they absorb punches very well. I do recommend switching areas that you strike it. I did wear out a side of the bag to the point it was deformed. I reached out to the company and they sent me a replacement bag. Again just make sure to switch up the area where you hit the bag. I plan on rotating every week or so. Would definitely recommend! Great company! This is a decent bag. Is it as good as a heavy suspended bag? No, but it totally beats shadowboxing. Also, the spring back motion is good for practicing timing and head movement. The thing that rates it even higher for me is the outstanding customer service. I ran into an issue and the response from the seller was quick and a the solution offered was perfect and implemented right away.Very silent bag. Good for beginners. It wobbles when punched hard, but that help it keeping sound low. Which is ideal for indoor use. The base is sturdy with suction cups and sand filled in it.Pros: long punching bagCompact base (covers less area)QuiterGood leatherCons:Wobbles when punched on topGreater deflectionThe product is fairly cheap for what it is. I’ve been using it for about a month and the bag is starting to get dented all over, misshapen. The bolts above the springs get loose over time, and you can’t just tighten them as the whole assembly rotates with it. I noticed a bit too late and had to go through using pliers to hold them from between the springs and tighten the top with a wrench. Now if you keep track of it over time you can use vice grips on the top and wrench it much more easily.I filled it with 120lbs of sand and I still knock it out of hardwood floor with suction cups and I’m considering adding another 60 lbs.All in all, it works but I doubt my bag will last long, I foresee replacing it in about a year if it keeps sagging on all its sides.I bought it for my husband, he loves it. it's easy to install and is light to get to where you need it in the house. Lots of bolts to hold the punching bag to the base so you can be sure you won't break it no matter how hard you punch. The padding has good resistance and there's a good swing to the bag which helps you get into a punching rhythm. it is also very good for training. my kids love to play with it too.Besides buying this product you also need to buy sand. It took hours to fill the base with sand because the sand I bought wasn't dry and the opening to the base is very small. The suction cups are good but some do not stick. Overall happy with this product
