I use the mat for an office chair in our home study on medimum height carpet. Following the directions for unrolling and flattening the mat are important. After removing it from the box it sat in70 degree temperature for a couple of hours. Unrolling it I placed the mat face down and used 8 very heavy books to hold it in place, turned on the room heat to 75 degrees and let it sit for 5 hours. Then I flipped it and placed it under the desk where it will reside and it flattened well. While I have only had it for a week or so, it seems to be heavy duty, desk chair rolls easily on it, and it does not creep forward on the carpet.
