Throttle feel and response is really an important drivability feature. And this is a great quality, easy to install, nice looking solution for Tri-Five Chevys. I had it installed and set up in less than an hour. However it's not prefect. . . First it requires drilling a hole in your firewall. It looks nice when finished but I prefer a smooth firewall with no holes. Second, you may have clearance issues if you have tall valve covers. Mine are taller than stock but I would say their average height for aluminum valve covers and the cable exits right behind the driver's side valve cover. Finally as always with Lokar, their parts are very pricey. This thing is North of $135 and you still need to purchase a cable assembly and bracket to use with it. If you are running a 700R4 trans then you'll also have to a special bracket for your make of carb plus another trans cable assembly. All in all a very expensive addition to your ride. But bottom line,Lokar still provides the best option I have sen out there yet so just bite the bullet and hand over your credit card. In the end you'll be happy you did.
