Take your appetite for adventure on the road with the Thule Chasm Duffel. This duffel is made with a waterproof laminated fabric and 1000-denier nylon base with added cushion to protect your cargo. A wide zippered mouth opening makes organizing clothing and gear easy, while various internal mesh pockets keeps things organized. External compression straps keep your load secure and external stash pockets store small items for quick and easy access. The two hand straps stow along the side when you're wearing it as a backpack, while the two shoulder straps easily convert to a single shoulder strap carry system. The Chasm is available in several different sizing options so you can carry everything you need, whether you're sneaking out of town for the weekend or leaving on an multi-week excursion.

This is a great duffel bag. It's plenty roomy. I had a 60 liter REI duffel bag that I took on a long trek; it proved to be just a little too small for my needs over two weeks and it could not be carried as a backpack. The 70 liter Thule can be carried as a backpack (great for moving around the airport) and the straps can be converted to a shoulder sling (I use this the most). It also has traditional two grip handles that can be strapped down out of the way. The bottom is rugged and though I haven't used it much, it is much more durable that the material on the REI bag. Lastly, my two weeks of gear (including a sleeping bag cinched down in a compression bag) fit in this bag with room to spare. I wish the small zippered pocket was lockable but the big zipper that opens the lid can be locked (if you bring the lock). I want to stress that the material should last many years as it is thick.
