I am impressed with this drum! Before you even ask, this drum has a skin head and does not sound like a Remo drum. The low end is totally sick, as in terminally ill. I've played my share of drums and I have never heard one that has a subwoofer-like bass like this one. A complete bonus that it is light as a feather. Comes with a decent bag. Plus it is totally black, even the head. Mine does not look like the picture; the drum and head are both black and shiny, not grey.I disagree from prior reviews stating that this is not a professional drum. I feel it is, and that is the way I intend to use it. You might not want it to be your only drum, however, as it does have a very distinctive sound, brighter and not as warm as a wooden djembe, almost as if the midrange was tuned down.Highly recommended.
