The three pictures I posted pretty much say it all when it comes to looks. These lights do require a thorough knowledge of electrical devices and an understanding of balancing the load on turn signals. The original parking/turn signals on this vehicle required two bulbs on each side. The Spyder only allows for one bulb. This creates a problem. If you stay with regular bulbs, you only need to purchase one amber bulb and strap the unused bulb under the hood, where it won't touch anything and melt anything plastic or burn through wire insulation. You will have to either use load resistors on the bulb you use if you decide to go with LED amber bulbs as I did or use an electronic flasher unit. The electronic flasher is a much easier way to deal with this. You can still use the original bulb sockets and use the LED bulbs but replace the flasher unit with the electronic flasher. Don't forget to replace the emergency flasher unit, it is the same flasher, only located under the hood in the fuse box. With the Dakota and Durango having two bulbs for turn and parking lights, only one will be used in the Spyder, the other will still need to be strapped under the hood and one of the original bulbs placed in the socket. The electronic flashers are cheap and will work with most older vehicles. Newer vehicles may have the flasher built into the primary control computer. If that's the case, you will have to use the load resisters and balance the loads. Just be careful, as you don't want to have to burn up that computer and have to replace it. I really like the LED turn/park light, as the ones I used have LEDs all the way around and on the end as well. Believe me, they are very visible. For now, I left the headlight bulbs that came with the Spyders, but will be replacing them with LED's as well. There is a gap around the light that is a bit annoying. I experimented with ways to remedy this and finally arrived at using Trim-Lok, D-Shaped rubber seal that is half inch height and width and a 25 foot roll. I got this from Amazon and it is part number X202HT-25. I am very happy with this solution, as it is easy to install and, in my opinion, looks about as good as it possibly could.
