This Dry Pack is flat AWESOME! Simple, straightforward, and bombproof. The straps are comfortable and solidly constructed with remarkable adjustability, and rather sophisticated for a pack without a frame. It also can hold a astonishing amount of stuff, albeit I recommend the use of smaller stuff sacks inside to keep categories of your load organized because it is a single chamber pack and if you don't, eventually everything will be in a jumble. The pack is completely submersible if not overfilled as well. If you overfill it, then the rollover seal at the top won't have enough turns to guarantee a complete seal, but that is not the pack's fault it would be user error. It also has a very sturdy rubberized handle at the top of pack which really makes it easy to grab, hand over across water or up inclines. Surprisingly, I originally bought this pack for my 9 year old son to replace a Henri Lloyd Marine pack that after four years as a school pack finally surrendered. When this pack arrived, I was so impressed with it I ordered a second one for myself. It is now my permanent grab and go ready bag. Big enough for Z-bag, 1man tent, sleeping pad, and a week's worth of wisely chosen clothes. This pack just crushes it if you are around water, in rain, on boats, kayaks or canoes. Takes a little while to arrive though as I think it comes from Oz as Surf to Summit is an Australian concern. Securing it with a good seal takes a little practice as the straps go down the sides to allow for the roll top seal to be easy to do properly, but once you clip them you can really cinch them TIGHT, and then there is a final big burly Velcro hold down seal that goes across the top to really keep it snug. Think of this as bone dry rugged duffle bag that has an unbelievably comfortable arrangement of straps to be carried on your back, while you jump off a river bank and swim across to the other side, that you can easily take off and hand up the bank on the other side to someone waiting. It is now my single favourite piece of gear. It pleases me every time I see it , and delights me every time I use it. Buy two, someone is very likely to steal it when they see it.
