The Hydronix HF45-10CLBK15 (Note: Picture shows PR version, this one does not include the PR button) Big Blue size 10" Clear Filter Housing is an extra-wide housing that accommodates large 4.5" wide filters for increased flow. It is made of a durable Polycarbonate that is usable with a variety of none corrosive chemicals. The housing cap is a high-flow polypropylene cap with 1/2" external female NPT ports and large internal ports, allowing water to pass through rapidly. This Hydronix Big Blue size filters is an excellent choice for whole house or commercial applications where high flow rates are required. ** DOES NOT include filter cartridges, brackets, fittings, or mounting screws.**.

The original 40 year-old Whirlpool Model WHKF-DWHBB filter system was due for a new filter housing. After realizing that one is no longer available, I searched for what I thought might be a match. I was thankful to find out this Hydronix filter housing had the exact same threads, so I did not need to remove the original one.
