Contrary to what I thought I had read, this size bag will NOT fit a big, intact CA hay bale. I think you need the next size up for that. However, it does hold a LOT of hay, close to a full bale, if you open the bale and just pack the flakes inside. Plenty for a weekend horse show, and so easy to transport and store the hay at the show barn. Hay is kept clean, truck kept clean, great idea/product.
