I've had two fail in two seasons. The first lasted just barely more than one year, so outside of the warranty period and I had to purchase the next out of pocket. Fine, it happens. The second one was purchased March 2024, directly through the 509 website and by December 2024 the seal was bad and it was full of moisture again. When I submitted the warranty claim, they immediately closed the claim and I was told they don't cover lost batteries and linked me to batteries for their goggles. (There is no battery option for the shield, they never bothered to look at the claim.) Then, after I reopened the claim, 509 asked me to cut the shield to render it unuseable, but is now refusing to send a replacement, saying this shield, although cut and full of water, is still somehow useable.
