Overall very happy with this bag. I've done a lot of hammock camping over the years and this is superior to a sleeping and more budget friendly than expensive undershirts. Easy setup and warm enough for 3 season camping. After trying several other styles (standard bags, mummies, extra wides), none of them were comfortable for me. On recommendation for a sleeping "quilt" instead, I purchased one of these bags. I took it for Scouts for weekend training and it worked great. I like that I can cinch just the bottom for a foot pocket and have the rest unzipped for a blanket. This past weekend, we went camping again with Scouts, and I got to use it for the first time with my hammock. It worked perfectly!! I just used the bag around the hammock with nothing else and was able to sleep in my pants and t-shirt in 40 deg windy weather. It was so warm inside, I had to take off my socks! Everyone else that slept in tents complained about being cold all night.Definitely recommend this for hammocks or for people like me who hate feeling confined in tight sleeping bags. I'm planning to buy another one for my husband! My first impressions as I opened the sleeping bag were great. I like the color combination and it feels very comfortable. I have yet to try it however, for the value its a great buy. This same sleeping bag on alps mountaineering is over 100 dollars. Thus, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. I won't be camping on Mount Everest so 40 degree sleeping bag is manageable. It is super easy stuff back into the bag given. One negative I guess for some people can be that its open on both sides.Great sleeping bag. Compresses very well and great for canoe camping in the boundary waters. Probably the best compressible bag at this price. I can’t imagine getting better without going into expensive down gear.Using it as a quilt and it's perfect!FunctionalLightweightLooks coolHorrible stitching quality, used for 2 nights and had to return as a result of threads coming out everywhere. I'm not a violent sleep, either. The open-foot design is a matter of opinion, I didn't like it.Would NOT even recommend to girlfriend's parents. I have an Alps Mountaineering tent thats been great, so product QC, design, or both is very inconsistent. Live and learn.A sleeping bag. A very nice sleeping bag.1. What's in the box?: You receive the sleeping bag within a storage bag with cinches.2. How is it?: Excel lent. The bag is very well made. The material is very soft inside and out and is pretty tough. The feel is similar (actually the same) as a jacket designed to stay warm. The zippers are nicely made and includes goo touches like fabric flips to prevent you from feeling zippers when moving around.Warmth? This is a +20 which means a twenty degree increase in temperature (hypothetically). So this is more of a colder summer type sleeping bag. However, inside the house, or for most applications, this is pretty warm. Surviving Everest? Probably not. Summer under the stars, you will be fine.Likes? Love the construction. This is well-made bag. Colors are nice with the grey and red. Zippers are good. Great feel. The fiber interior is not down, but still feels soft like it is actually. Love being able to unzip this and making a blanket, or a open arrangement (you can even make a hammock arrangement (though for me I might be too heavy. It would be nice if there was some guidance on this point as there isn't really this information available).Dislikes?: Well, like most things that are well-made, expensive. But in-line with other good sleeping bags so on this basis a very good price point.Other than that, nothing I have found I dislike. Would love some information with a QR tag for example that takes the buyer to a website providing tips and information.Overall: I really like this bag quite a bit. It is far better than the cheapest bags that are out there in about every way as the construction and materials are a high level. Love the feel.
