This bag has the form factor of a wide mouth duffel bag. It is all open on the inside, with a zippered compartment on each wall to hold small items (or a tablet). I like the open layout so I can maximize what I carry in there. I have separate smaller luggage organizer bags I use to keep miscellaneous clothes and items separated and organized. The lip has a wire support so that the opening stays wide open for very easy loading and unloading. I love the lined interior in a light beige color -- it makes it super easy to see and find things inside. The laptop pocket has a nice quilted padding to provide a small amount of protection. The exterior is nice looking, and is made from the typical durable Thule materials. It feels like solid ballistic nylon on the bottom, and a thick coated cloth on the top (for added water shedding, perhaps).I do like how there are two zippered pockets on the outside of the bag to keep things like boarding passes, wallet etc. (as long as you are not worried about them being stolen by a pickpocket). Just be aware that one of these pockets is the luggage pass-through panel. The luggage pass-through is zippered on the bottom so it can be used a pocket when you are not using that feature. It should be obvious, but just keep in mind that if you open up the luggage pass-through anything in that pocket will fall out.The main strap handles have what seems like reinforcing running along the whole length (see my photo). I believe this could be a cable reinforcement that will prevent thieves from cutting the strap and making off with your bag (I think this was a common attack in some parts of Europe I visited a few years back). I did not see this feature advertised in the product description, so I could be incorrect about this and it could just be a stylistic element and not functional.I am not really sure what purpose the metal feet have. They are pretty small feet, and the bottom of this bag is not rigid, so the feet don't exactly keep the bottom of the bag off the ground...One of the only things I am not particularly fond of is the leather they used. It feels pretty cheap and plasticky to me. Maybe it will break in and feel nicer over time... The other thing that annoyed me was the packaging. They covered every single piece of exposed metal with taped up foam padding (including the buckles, zipper pulls, etc.). There were about 10-20 individual pieces wrapped in foam and taped with clear tape that I had to cut off. I understand they were trying to protect this during shipment, but there was nothing for these metal pieces to rub against except the fabric of the bag. The first time actually using this bag it will get more wear than during shipping (it was also packed inside a nice cardboard box, which was also packed inside an Amazon cardboard box). I normally wouldn't complain about something like this, but having so many taped up pieces to cut off in such close proximity to a fabric bag doesn't seem like a great idea to me.
