I already have a Domke J3 and got this larger J2 model for a bigger camera. I also ordered a Domke 720-250D main compartment insert. This insert fits this bag perfectly and is a necessity, IMHO, if you want to carry an oversized DSLR, like my gripped Nikon D700, with a medium sized lens mounted, as well as two other large f2.8 zooms. The 720-250D has the additional advantage that it also provides a tablet compartment: My 10 inch ipad in a slim case fits neatly between the insert wall and the bag's front wall, sealed in by the insert's velcro attaching strip at the top (also works between the back walls if you prefer). An advantage of the ballistic nylon Domke J series is the full padding of the end pockets, which activates them for carrying lenses, camera bodies or flash guns with no drop-off in protection compared to the main compartment. The canvas Domkes have unpaded end pockets, which downgrades their protection. My Domke J3 is going on 10 years old and can hardly be distinguished, wear-wise, from this brand-new J2. I've tried just about every brand of bag. Two stick out head and shoulders above the rest: Domke and Think Tank. Both expensive because made in USA, but unbeatable for ruggedness and overall quality.
