This is a decent tote. It’s pretty basic, though. There’s only one smallish zipper pocket and the main compartment. There’s a slot for your ID or credit card on top of that. It would probably be good for the gym or beach; some place that you don’t need to bring a lot of small items and organize them. You can choose whether to carry it with the handles or sling it over your shoulder with that provided strap. It’s decently long, compared with typical tote bags, which is nice. One thing that I really do not like is that there’s only a snap closure at the top of the bag. So there’s no way to close it all the way and prevent your personal belongings from spilling out. That kind of thing makes me nervous. The logo is on the bottom, as well as genuine leather. The only problem with this is that if you set it on something wet, it could damage the leather. But the rest of it is water resistant on the outside. It seems like a dichotomy to have water resistant material and leather on the same piece, but that’s just my opinion. It has a sleek look and can be used by a man or woman. As a woman, I don’t feel uncomfortable carrying it, and neither does my husband. I do like the neon yellow/green lining the top. But, as I mentioned earlier, there’s no way to secure all of your belongings.Pretty much as the title says, this is a cute but basic tote. More about the tote.* Quality. It's well built and the leather accents seem of good quality and are quite well done.* Spacious. There is a lot of internal volume to this tote making it a good gym or beach bag.* Internal pockets. Just two. A single zippered pocket at the top of the bag with a key chain lanyard on the inside and a leather cellphone pocket stitched to the side of that zippered pocket. The cellphone pocket fits my iPhone 8 with case and probably a 10 or 11 with a slim case but definitely not a plus model iPhone. Also, the cellphone pocket does not close.* Patterned accents. Along the top edge of the tote and done in a very bright, and in my opinion, nice lime green color.* Single button closure at the top.Other than that this is just a really basic tote bag that's dressed up with some quality leather accents. It's nice, just simple, and it's hard to detract stars for something that it never intended to be.I have a few Timbuk2 bags so I was happy to add a tote bag to my arsenal but I was not expecting something so blah looking that lacked functionality. The bag itself is plenty large and can easily fit a ton of items inside of it but the materials used can barely accommodate a few books or a laptop. The bottom part of the bag is leather, really nice looking but a complete contrast to the cotton fabric for the rest of the bag. The cotton material isn’t even nice looking, its rough, wrinkled and there is zero support throughout. The leather handles were nice but the cotton shoulder strap is thin, short and doesn’t support much. As for the inside of the bag, there is just one tiny thin zippered pocket with a pocket on the outside that appears can be used for a phone but its unlined on the inside. For the cost of this tote I expected a lot more in terms of quality and functionality. This is an excellent lightweight everyday tote - simple, functional, and stylish. It’s from Timbuk2, so you know the quality is good, and this is no exception. The leather is thick and beautiful, the canvas is tightly woven and strong, all stitching is excellent, corners are reinforced, and zippers are heavy duty.Style wise this bag is also exceptional. The leather logo on the front is simple, but it also has a pop of color - bright yellow - on the edges. This same bright yellow is used on the interior of the bag, which is not just fun but also helps brighten up the inside when you’re searching for your wallet, keys, etc. The interior also features a large pocket with a zipper and a tall leather open pocket, perfect for your phone, pens, etc. There is a single snap at the top of the bag to keep it closed, although not completely covered. The shoulder straps and handles are on the thinner side-less than an inch, so although this is certainly unisex, it’s not something most burly guys would choose. The gunmetal hardware on the straps is beautiful-not what you typically find, which also helps set this bag apart.I have two small comments- which are really just that, versus complaints. If I were designing this bag, I would have made the shoulder straps and handles a bit more substantial. As it is, the look is fine, but it’s not very comfortable with a larger laptop, book, and pouch, etc. At that weight, it feels like it’s going to stretch out over time and also cuts into your shoulder if you are wearing it cross-body style.Second, although both are black, the canvas part of the bag is a lighter and a different shade than the leather bottom. This is understandable given the difference in materials, but it makes the bag appear navy or midnight blue- not true black, which I personally don’t like.I can’t say enough about these bags; they’re so well made - AND stylish / great looking. My state enacted a ban on single use plastic grocery bags so I am using this tote for trips to the store. It looks nice with neon green accents and a leather bottom. It has handles and an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap. The snap closure is fine for my particular use although if I were using it as a purse I would prefer a zippered closure. The interior is spacious. The bag is unisex in color and design. It is nicely made and washable.I really wanted to love this bag, but taking the price into consideration, it's way over priced for what you get. I needed a new work bag that would hold my paperwork, laptop and water bottle which this bag can do because it's plenty deep. The bottom of the bag is nice leather that goes up about 5 inches on the sides and the rest is black material that looks very cheap. I feel like it needs to be ironed. It definitely doesn't look like an expensive bag. The neon green liner is a nice touch though and I do like the bag for work, just not that black fabric. It’s not bad, I just don’t love it. And I really hate the neon accent.
