I purchased this gear bag to replace an old 20year old bag. I'm they type of diver that likes a "Breathable" Bag - or a bag that can get wet, be wet, and still dry out on its own. The top and bottom as you can see are made of a thick rubbery mesh, that's super durable and lets air / water in and out. The sides look like a thick rubbery / canvas feel. Very durable - wont' scratch your boat.I like a bag that's breathable because you can store your gear and it can aerate and keep your gear conditioned and breathable, and I can take my same bag on the dive boat, put all my gear wet in it, water can drain out the bottom mesh and won't smell. Also, when you get home and wash your gear, let it air dry, the bag will dry in the sunlight in about 5-10 minutes, well before you BC or other gear dries.I know most people like a "DRY" bag, but for those who want multipurpose - this is the bag you need - NO ONE ELSE makes a bag like this, that has the U-Shape zipper on the top. This is very important because you don't fight your bag to you get your BC into it!!!I looked at over 35 different bag on amazon and four retail stores, and no one had a bag like this! I'm a duffel bag scuba gear kinda guy.... I've seen the vertical top loading dive bags with mesh sides and back-pack straps, I almost bought one of those, but you have to store your gear vertical and for longevity, I don't know fins will hold up straight and not curl... but then again, its my preference to carry a duffel bag.GEAR I store in this bag and it fits perfectly- ScubaPro TwinJet MAX Fins, that are 26" Long and they fit with a few inches to spare- Booties- 1060 Pelican Box for keys / phone / wallet- ScubaPro BC- Mask with Case- Regs with Case- 3mm Full Wet-suitAnd the bag Closes with EASE - but at this point its pretty full... you can get some more small items in there like a flashlight and maybe squeeze a beach towl in there, but its pretty full yet not full enough to struggle to close.I Hope this helps many people! I honestly didn't feel this was a $65 bag, BUT its worth every penny in its build quality, but what hobby/sport isn't expensive anymore!!!ONE CON: The shoulder strap they include is seriously a 50-Cent china made after-thought. Being a $65 bag, it should have included a nice padded cushion shoulder strap. There are other bags out there on the market with lesser price tags and they give you a nice padded - non-slip shoulder strap!!!
