This is so very sturdy and well worth the cost. The beveled GLASS insets really add class to the Lantern. The paint is a soft not shiny white, but looks great on a lamp post that is glossy white too, if you choose. It is a nice full size not appearing 'skimpy' and takes a 100 watt bulb which can also be replaced with the new bulbs that take so little energy.It came very well packaged within it's box. There were cut outs for the finial and lantern itself within the lantern box to add protection from jolting or breakage. Amazon then boxed it again and no breakage whatsoever.I am very pleased with this purchase!
