You can tell that these glasses are hand made. They vary in size from glass to glass. I like that look, but if you want glasses that match exactly, don't buy these. The variability in the glasses is noticeable when the glasses are next to each other.They look beautiful with the air bubbles trapped inside the glass. The glass is pretty thick although they aren't too heavy. I was worried that the thickness would make them uncomfortable to drink out of, but that didn't turn out to be a problem. They hold a lot of liquid compared to other old fashioned glasses. Their base is wider than many other old fashioned glasses. They are pretty sturdy. One did crack when the ice was dispensing out of the refrigerator, but otherwise, no chips or cracks with every day use.This is the best price I could find on the web or in stores. These do not ship from Amazon (with their speedy delivery) and you have to wait a while before they arrive.
