Okay.....honestly, this is made for a new generation of Diana fans. Since I am an original Platinum Level Fan, my affinity is certainly for the original versions and mixes. But it is wonderful to see the positive reviews from several online magazines. The album has been in iTunes Top 10-20 Dance albums since the vinyl was released reaching #2 for several weeks (blocked by Kaygo?)....that's pretty darn impressive. As we wait a promised new album with possible producing and writing from Mark Ronson and/or Pharrell Williams....I'm excited. But the pandemic has altered the celebration of her sold-out European "Diamond Diana" Tour...now re-scheduled for 2021. But with the uncertainty of social distancing at concert/sporting events...who know.In the meantime, "Supertonic" (a rather odd name for a Diana Ross album) is a fun, pleasurable listening. Standouts include the anthemic "The Boss", the iconic "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", surprising great mix of "Surrender"....kudos to Mr. Kupper for his sensational reinvention of classics!Out of my undying allegiance, I have purchased the Amazon vinyl, CD and iTunes downloads. Okay, I'm a little nuts....but this is part of my musical legacy love for the one and only Diva! (I can only hope that 75-76 year old will be so darn magical!!!!)Now I will continue praying and wishing for that new studio album. It is waaaaay overdue! But work it girl and get kit perfect as you have always done with the 90s-2010s releases!!!!
