I purchased this RAINS bag for an international trip and it was super convenient and secure! I was able to hold all of my essentials such as the following: phone, keys, passport case, money, two pairs of glasses, portable charger and a small zipper pouch with eye drops, lip balm, sanitizer, earplugs. Everything that I need to be comfortable while on-the-go; rain or shine, air or sea.The bag is made out of RAINS’ signature PU material which is waterproof. It stayed clean and dry while I was in wet, frosty conditions. However oily residues do show, so it’s best not to touch the bag with dirty hands or set it on a nasty surface. The strap’s hardware is made of metal and after my trip I did notice some of the black paint chipping away to reveal silver. This is a very common complaint with RAINS products and I do hope that they can improve in the future. Some RAINS duffel and weekender bags have rubberized and waterproof hardware, which prevents this from happening.The inside of this bag has a pocket that’s big enough can fit a passport case or wallet, and a zip mesh pocket. I’m surprised by how much I can fit inside the bag without it looking overstuffed.One downside is that the opening to access this main part of the bag is quite small. It is about the size of an iPhone X Plus so it can be difficult to access for average and large hands. I’m petite so I’m lucky that my hands can fit right in. However on my trip it did deter some pickpockets while at crowded airports and attractions.
