I had quite a few options to install this light.... On the ground or wall in the backyard...... For the garage it can be installed on the ceiling.... I needed it more for the backyard and so installed on the wall. Mounting was not that difficult. There was a need for the existing hardwire connection system at the location where it is needed to be installed. So, the instructions were printed on the paper that came in the box...The light itself is water proof but important for the installation is that the connections of the wires need to be secured as I did them hiding from water. If this is done, it is perfect to go outside with no issues...The light is designed to be heat resistant too in a sense it dissipates heat through the heat sink at the back made specifically for heat convection.Light is bright enough to cover the whole backyard and kids can play those last hours of play outside on the play-set. We have wet-land on the back that makes the lighting very important.suggestion: -To the manufacturer: it would be great if you can add a waterproof box or something for the joined wires to sit in safely to avoid any water causing issues..... Other than that it is a good design overall....
